Jiangsu Dilong Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd., as a member of ISTT (International Society for Trench-less Technology) and CSTT (China Society for Trench-less Technology), started the trench-less R&D and construction since 1998. She is one of the earliest specialized private companies in no-dig industry (HDD) in China. The company has our own construction subsidiary. All types of products are applied to our own projects first, and then the R&D center shall follow the feedback from job site and get improvement accordingly. Therefore, we sell the product to other customers at the last step.
With trenchless technology( HDD- Horizontal directional drilling), underground utilities can be installed, replaced or renewed with minimal excavation and disruption to residents, businesses and traffic. Trenchless construction techniques are often more environmentally sensitive and cost effective than traditional surface excavation methods, and can be used in fragile environments where open-cut is not an option. Trenchless technologies have proven effective for numerous utility applications, including water, sewer, gas, industrial, electrical and fiber optics.
History of HDD
1.In 1971, the American Mr. Martin Cherrington invented the horizontal directional drilling technology and manufactured the first HDD concept machine, which created a precedent for trenchless technology.
2.In 1986, the first HDD rig RB5 was imported from USA into China, for the project of an oil pipeline crossing through Yellow River.
3.In 1998, the first Dilong HDD rig was used for the construction of a job site. This was the first HDD rig in China which was independently designed and manufactured by a private company.
4.Nowadays, we have about 500 oversea customers using Dilong machines in over ten countries and about 5000 HDD rigs under using in China.
